Ohio State falls in Big Ten title game against Indiana and Ryan Day and two others have to share the blame for the defeat

While the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes are off to Arlington, Texas to play in the Cotton Bowl in the playoff quarterfinals, multiple other Ohio schools have learned their bowl destinations.

The Buckeyes are attempting to snap a four-game losing streak in the rivalry game versus Michigan, ranked No. 15 in the CFP poll. The Buckeyes have lost to Michigan when ranked No. 1 only once in 1969 during the start of the Ten Year War between Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler.

A season removed from the unranked Michigan Wolverines stunning the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes, many wondered if we might see a repeat on Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Instead, Ohio State delivered a statement performance with a dominant win.

Ohio State didn't fall far. The Buckeyes, looking to defend their 2024 national championship, landed at No. 2, followed by SEC champion Georgia at No. 3 and Big 12 champion Texas Tech at No. 4. Those four teams earn opening-round byes.
